Born and raised in Los Angeles California, Robert showed an early enthusiasm for both art and gaming. Even as a child, his profound love of virtual worlds was apparent and he often found himself carefully deconstructing them both visually and conceptually. Their presence was a calming escape from the turmoil of his own youth and they brought him Zen.
As he matured, he nurtured his talent by exploring art and graphic design, his creativity spreading into virtual realms while still building on his traditional skill set. He has been involved in several art showings, and in March 2008 promoted his own solo exhibit at Gallery Azul in San Pedro, California. During this time he began to experiment and combine his physical foundations of paint, comic art, sketch, and graffiti with his newfound digital skills.
But caught up in the swing of life, Robert made his way as any person would, providing for himself and his loved ones and relegating his passions to the sidelines. Conflicted, he attended school for and obtained his welding certification as certified by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety.
But true passion cannot be silenced, and before long Robert found himself distracted. He launched and impressive portfolio encompassing concept art and illustration, with ambitions of a lifestyle where he could combine his two life passions into a single, satisfying career. He was then able to dedicate 14 years of his life in the video game industry working at Activision Blizzard as a Graphic Designer on many of their franchises but focusing on their hit title
Call of Duty. Now onto other endeavors, Robert is relentless in his practice
and cultivates his gift every day.
